Abstract

helpless. Factors affecting anxiety include gender, individual experience, and age factor. Overcome the worsening of anxiety level in children, a nurse in giving intervention to the child in accordance with he growth of his/her child. Children desperately need the support and assistance of parents during the care, the need for safety and the needs of their activities. The purpose of this study is known theraupetic relationship of nurse and the role of parents with anxiety level of children (ages 5-14 years) in M. Yunus’s hospital of Bengkulu in 2017. The research method is analytic description and using cross sectional design. Cross sectional design is independent variable and dependent are observed or measured at once time. In this study independent variable is theraupetic communication relationship of nurses and the role of parens, and dependen variable is anxiety level. From the result of study found that most respondents 54,4% theraupetic good communication of nurse and most respondents 41,9% good role of parent in reducing child’s anxiety level. Statistical test result < 0,05 p = 0, 009 means there is a therapeutic communication relationship of nurses and the role of parents with anxiety level of children (age 5-14 years) in M. Yunus’s hospital of Bengkulu in 2017. It is expected that health services should be able to implement therapeutic communication and parent roles to child.
