Abstract

World Health Organization estimated that there were 250 million (43%) children at low income countries which unable to reach optimal growth potential in 2016. The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between knowledge and mother motivation with stimulation behaviour on pre-school growth at PAUD GiriKencana in Ketahun district north Bengkulu in 2018. This research method is using analytic with cross sectional design. The population in this research is mothers who have pre-school children at PAUD Teratai and there are 79 people, Budi Dharma and Seroja with total 79 respondents. Respondents are taken by using Total Sampling. Data are collected by using primary data which analysed by using univariate and bivariate analysis. Almost half of mother have less knowledge about children growth stimulation on pre school children, more than half have less knowledge about growth stimulation on pre-school children, almost half of respondents are not good enough in giving growth stimulation on pre school children. There is a correlation between mother motivation with stimulation behaviour on pre-school growth at PAUD GiriKencana in Ketahun district north Bengkulu in 2018. To all health personnel, they can improve their role in children health especially about children growth by giving support to their parent in giving growth stimulation to their children.
