Abstract

Mothers must have knowledge about their child's growth and development, like the factors of internal intelligence, hormonal influences, emotional influences. Environmental factors such as pre-natal, environmental, nutrition. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about developmental stimulation with the development of pre-scholars age children in the Kinder Garden Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Bengkulu City in 2018. The research method used is analytic with cross sectional design to study about the dynamics of the correlation between independent variables with the dependent variables that is observed or collected at the same time at the same time. The samples taken in this study were 53 people namely mothers and 4-6 years old childrens in Kinder Garden Dharma Wanita Persatuan. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling. The results of univariate research showed that most of the respondents (67.9%) had a good knowledge, and almost most of the respondents had less knowledge (32.1%). The results of Bivariate analysis obtained a symp.sig (p) = 0.005. Due to the value of p <0.05 means that there is a significant relationship, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a relationship between the level of maternal knowledge about developmental stimulation with the development of pre-school age children in Kinder Garden Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Bengkulu City in 2018. It is suggested that this research would be the basis for implementing program activities, and counseling in an effort to increase maternal knowledge about developmental stimulation with the development prescholars age children.
